Career Services is excited to partner with the Office of the President on the Davidson Innovation & Entrepreneurship Internship Program, a new initiative for Summer 2013. This program connects Davidson students to full time, 8-10 week internships with start-up organizations, innovation oriented companies, venture capital firms, entrepreneurial social ventures, and innovative roles within mature companies. Interns will be closely mentored by an experienced entrepreneur and will be in positions to directly contribute to the organization’s product development and initial growth. These internships, which will take place across the U.S., are made possible by Davidson alumni and other members of the Davidson family and are only available to Davidson students.
All students, freshmen through seniors, are welcome to apply. Students must participate in an orientation from May 15th – 17th, 2013 and in a half-day debriefing at the start of fall semester 2013. Employers participating will provide sufficient compensation for basic living expenses to interns, who are responsible for securing their own housing.
Application Process
Positions will be posted as Entrepreneurship Program Interns in WildcatLink between now and mid-February. Students apply to the organization(s) of their choice through WildcatLink by March 12th by submitting a resume and cover letter that details their interest in the position, the organization, and entrpreneurship in general. Students can apply to more than one internship that is part of the program but must submit a separate application for each position.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to have an adviser in Career Services review their application before submitting it. Walk-in hours for application material reviews are M- F, 1:30 – 3:30.

March 12th: Applications Due in WildcatLink (Note – the Amani Institute position has a Feb. 20 deadline)
March 15th-22rd: Interviews Conducted
March 17th – 26th: Internship Offers Go Out
March 17th – April 1st: Offers Accepted
May 15th – 17th, 2013: Mandatory Orientation for Interns (Details TBA)
August 2013: Post-Internship Half-Day Debrief (Date and Details TBA)
